Wexford UAV survey
Project overview
UAV aerial survey of site for planning purposes. Over 50 hectares was surveyed as part of this project with the data being used for flood plain modelling.
Project solution
- Survey carried out using a variety of methods and technologies including Trimble UX5 HP UAV and Trimble R10 GNSS.
- Aerial survey and installation of ground control carried out in less than one day.
- Survey grade GNSS system on board the UAV ensured that all deliverables met the client's accuracy specification.
- Survey carried out and delivered in 1 week. To survey this area on the ground to the required specification would have taken 2 weeks.
Project delivery
- Topographical survey in AutoCAD format.
- 2m DTM in AutoCAD and ASCII format.
- Point Cloud DTM in LAS format.
